Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is holding a high-level review meeting today to assess the state’s overall industrial landscape. The marathon meeting, underway at the Chief Minister’s residence at 1 Aney Marg since 11 AM, is examining the current performance of existing industries, strategies for boosting investment, progress on delayed projects, and the roadmap for upcoming industrial initiatives.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Industries Minister Dilip Jaiswal, principal secretaries, and senior department officials are participating in the session. According to officials, the primary aim is to take stock of how many industries have actually been set up in recent years, identify sectors with strong investment potential, and evaluate the hurdles slowing down major industrial proposals.
Sources indicate that the Chief Minister has issued firm instructions to streamline approval mechanisms, cut procedural delays, and ensure investor-friendly services. The government is keen on making it easier for companies to set up operations in Bihar.
This meeting comes as part of the state’s broader effort to improve governance efficiency and accelerate economic reforms. Over the past few months, Nitish Kumar has conducted similar review sessions across multiple departments.
Significant policy decisions or announcements may follow once today’s discussions conclude, signalling the government’s intent to reshape Bihar’s industrial growth trajectory.
