Renowned Vrindavan (Mathura) storyteller Indresh Upadhyay tied the knot on 5 December in a grand ceremony held in Jaipur. He married Shipra, a resident of Yamunanagar in Haryana. The bride appeared radiant in a shimmering gold saree, drawing admiration from guests.
The wedding festivities spanned two days — 4 and 5 December — featuring the bhāt, mehendi, wedding rituals (phere), and the blessings ceremony. Before this, a traditional nikāsi procession was held on 3 December in Vrindavan, marking the start of celebrations.
On the mehendi day, bride Shipra personally applied mehendi to Indresh Upadhyay, creating a heartwarming moment. Popular Bollywood singer B Praak also attended the event and was seen dancing enthusiastically.
During the wedding rituals, Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham was present and remained seated close behind the groom. He interacted cheerfully with others, adding a light, friendly spirit to the ceremony.
