Iran Issues Strong Warning To US, Says Centres Supporting USS Gerald R. Ford In Red Sea Could Be Targeted

Iran has issued a sharp warning to the United States, declaring that logistical and service centres assisting the USS Gerald R. Ford in the Red Sea may be treated as “legitimate targets.” The statement comes amid growing tensions between Tehran and Washington over military activities in West Asia.

Iranian authorities said facilities providing operational support to the American aircraft carrier group are effectively part of its military network and could therefore face attacks if the conflict escalates.

The warning was reportedly delivered by officials linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which has been actively involved in Iran’s regional military operations. According to Iranian statements, the presence of the carrier strike group in the Red Sea is viewed as a direct security threat to the country.

US Military Presence Raises Stakes In West Asia

The USS Gerald R. Ford, one of the most advanced warships operated by the United States Navy, has been deployed with escort destroyers, cruisers and supply vessels to maintain operations in the region.

Analysts say the deployment underscores Washington’s military posture in the Middle East as hostilities between Iran, the US and their allies continue to intensify.
