Raghav Chadha Raises Concern Over Data Expiry, Pushes for Rollover Policy

Raghav Chadha Flags Data Expiry Issue

AAP MP Raghav Chadha has questioned telecom operators over daily data limits, saying unused data simply disappears after expiry. He argued that users pay for the full quota but cannot carry forward the remaining balance, calling the system unfair to millions of prepaid subscribers.

Demand for Rollover and Fair Usage

Chadha urged the government to introduce a data rollover system similar to global practices. He emphasized that consumers should retain unused data instead of losing it at the end of the day, highlighting that current policies favor telecom companies more than users.

Push for Telecom Policy Reforms

The MP also raised broader concerns about prepaid plans, including validity periods and service restrictions. He called for regulatory intervention to ensure transparent and consumer-friendly telecom rules, aiming to protect users from what he described as unfair billing practices.
