During the crisis, nearly 4,500 flights were cancelled over about ten days, creating chaos at several airports and affecting thousands of passengers during a peak travel period.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) launched an inquiry into the issue and imposed strict monitoring on the airline while directing it to implement operational reforms.

The crisis was primarily linked to the airline’s struggle to adjust to new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) rules, which increased mandatory rest periods for pilots and reduced night duty hours.
Authorities issued warnings to senior officials and imposed financial penalties on the airline while demanding improvements in crew management, digital systems and operational planning.
