Premium Petrol Prices Rise by Up to Rs 2 in India; Regular Fuel Rates Stay Stable

Premium Petrol Prices Increased Across India

Oil marketing companies have raised premium petrol prices by up to ₹2.35 per litre across India, effective March 20. The revision applies to high-octane fuels sold by major public sector companies, while regular petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged.

Global Factors Driving the Price Rise

The hike comes amid rising global crude oil prices linked to tensions in West Asia. Supply disruptions and uncertainty in key oil routes have pushed costs higher, prompting companies to revise premium fuel rates.

No Change in Regular Petrol and Diesel Rates

Despite the increase in premium variants, standard petrol and diesel prices continue to remain stable. Companies are reviewing prices daily based on international crude rates, currency fluctuations, and tax structures.
