Filmmaker Priyadarshan recently shared a light-hearted experience of working with Saif Ali Khan on their upcoming film Haiwaan. In an interview, the veteran director affectionately described Saif as “a very cute mature child.”
Priyadarshan revealed that Saif would come to the set every morning with around 10 questions about the scenes, characters, and script. He said this habit showed the actor’s genuine curiosity and dedication to understanding his role deeply.
According to the director, Saif’s questions and playful nature made the shooting environment lively and collaborative rather than difficult. He appreciated the actor’s enthusiastic and thoughtful approach during the filming process.

Haiwaan stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles and is directed by Priyadarshan. The film, which has reportedly completed shooting, is a crime thriller loosely inspired by the Malayalam movie Oppam. It is currently in post-production and is expected to release in 2026 (likely around August).
The project marks a reunion between Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar, who have collaborated on several successful films in the past. It also brings Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar together on screen after many years.
