A shocking incident has been reported from Keslai village in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh. A man allegedly killed his three-year-old son by attacking him with an axe. Police have arrested the accused and registered a murder case.
The accused has been identified as Ratan Singh Uikey. The victim, his son Virendra Kumar, was three years old.
Details of the Incident
According to police, the incident took place when the child’s mother had gone to the nearby fields to bring back cattle. The boy was bathing in the courtyard of their house at the time.
The father allegedly picked up an axe and attacked the child multiple times, striking him on the neck and temple. The boy died on the spot due to the injuries.
When the mother returned home, she found the child lying in a pool of blood. Shocked family members and neighbours immediately informed the police.
Police Action
Officials from Roopjhar police station reached the spot and took the accused into custody. During initial questioning, the father reportedly told police that he suddenly became angry and committed the act. The exact motive behind the crime is still under investigation.
The child’s body was sent for post-mortem examination at the district hospital. Police have registered a case of murder and produced the accused before a local court. He has been sent to judicial custody.
Authorities are now recording statements from family members and villagers to understand the full circumstances leading to the incident.
