Bageshwar Dham chief calls for nationwide Sanatani mobilisation, seeks removal of liquor shops in Vrindavan within a year.
Bageshwar Dham Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Krishna Shastri addressed a large Dharm Sabha near the Char Dham Temple in Chhattikara on Sunday, where he announced that the Sanatani Ekta Yatra 3.0 will begin soon. Entering Braj, Shastri placed the sacred dust of the region on his forehead and appealed for unity among Sanatani Hindus across the country.
He said the purpose of the yatra—from Delhi to Vrindavan—is to unite Hindus so that future generations, temples, property, and culture can be protected. “We are not tired, nor will we stop,” he said, adding that despite protests and incidents like the Delhi bus blast, devotees walked with full faith.
Shastri administered five vows to the crowd: bring five families into Sanatani fold, hoist saffron flags at home, form village Mandals for unity yatras, support Ghar Wapsi, and ensure no liquor-meat shops operate near pilgrimage sites.
On entering Vrindavan, he urged Brajwasis to bless the yatra and take a pledge to remove liquor shops from the holy town within a year. He emphasised that the movement should reach every village through saints and Mandals, who would work for temple restoration and strengthening of Hindu identity.
Clarifying his stance, Shastri said, “We are not against Muslims or Christians,” but urged Hindu parents to instil strong cultural values in their children.
