India has stepped in to support Sri Lanka by sending 38,000 metric tonnes of fuel as the island nation struggles with a worsening energy crisis triggered by global supply disruptions. The shipment included 20,000 tonnes of diesel and 18,000 tonnes of petrol, reaching Sri Lanka on March 28.
