Kangana Ranaut Targets Rahul Gandhi Over Parliament Conduct, Sparks Fresh Political Row

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has launched a sharp criticism of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of behaving in a manner that makes women uncomfortable inside Parliament.

Speaking to reporters in the Parliament complex, Ranaut alleged that Gandhi’s way of interacting appears disrespectful and unruly. She claimed that his conduct during public interactions and interviews creates discomfort among women members.

Remarks Triggered by Ongoing Controversy

Her comments come amid a growing controversy over Gandhi’s actions during a recent protest at Parliament. He was seen having tea and snacks with fellow MPs at the Makar Dwar entrance during the Budget Session, which drew criticism from several quarters.

An open letter signed by over 200 former bureaucrats, veterans, and legal professionals has also demanded an apology, calling the act inappropriate for someone holding the position of Leader of the Opposition.

Comparison with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

Ranaut further compared Rahul Gandhi’s conduct with that of his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, praising her behaviour as respectful and composed. She suggested that Rahul Gandhi should learn from her approach in public life.

Political Tensions Intensify

The remarks have added fuel to the ongoing political confrontation between the BJP and Congress, with debates around parliamentary decorum and leadership responsibilities taking centre stage. Observers believe the controversy could escalate further as reactions from opposition leaders are expected soon.
