MoCA Monitoring West Asia Airspace as Flights Resume
India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) is closely monitoring the airspace situation in West Asia as Indian airlines gradually resume flight services to Riyadh after recent disruptions caused by regional tensions.
Authorities said operational plans indicate that carriers including Air India and Air India Express are preparing to restart flights to the Saudi capital while ensuring passenger safety remains the top priority.
Limited Operations Resume
Flight operations between India and several West Asian destinations were earlier disrupted due to escalating geopolitical tensions and airspace restrictions in the region. As a result, airlines were forced to cancel or reroute many international services.
However, Indian carriers have begun restoring limited services after assessing safety conditions and coordinating with international aviation authorities.
Passenger Safety Remains Priority
The aviation ministry said it is in constant coordination with airlines, airport operators and other authorities to ensure safe and orderly flight operations. Airlines have also been advised to keep passengers informed about schedule changes and travel updates.
Officials added that the situation is being reviewed continuously, and further operational decisions will depend on developments in the region’s airspace conditions.
