Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla Release Postponed Due to Dhurandhar 2 Success

The release of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror-comedy film Bhooth Bangla has been postponed. The makers took this decision to avoid a direct clash with the strong box office run of Dhurandhar 2.

Originally planned for early April, the film will now have paid previews starting April 16, 2026, followed by a wider theatrical release.

Reason for Postponement

Distributors and exhibitors requested the delay because Dhurandhar 2 is still performing strongly in theatres. Industry experts believe the new date will give Bhooth Bangla better screen availability and more marketing space.

About the Film

Bhooth Bangla marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan, who have earlier delivered several hit comedies together. The film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Tabu in key roles.

The horror-comedy has generated good buzz through its teaser and promotional events. With the revised release plan, the makers hope the film will get a clearer theatrical window and perform well at the box office.
