Mumbai: Bollywood actor Nadeem Khan, who was recently seen in Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar, has been arrested by Mumbai Police following serious allegations of rape and long-term sexual exploitation made by his domestic worker.
According to police officials, the complainant, a 41-year-old woman, alleged that Nadeem Khan sexually exploited her for nearly 10 years by repeatedly promising to marry her. In her complaint, the woman stated that she first came in contact with the actor in 2015, after which the two developed a close relationship.
She claimed that Khan assured her of marriage and, on that basis, established physical relations with her at multiple locations in the Malvani–Versova area of Mumbai. The woman said she continued the relationship believing his promise. However, when the actor eventually refused to marry her, she decided to approach the police.
Initially, the case was registered at Versova Police Station, but since the first alleged incident took place at the woman’s residence, which falls under Malvani Police Station limits, the case was transferred there as a Zero FIR.
After the transfer, Malvani Police formally registered the case, conducted preliminary inquiries, and arrested Nadeem Khan. Police officials confirmed that further investigation is underway and legal proceedings have begun.
The arrest has triggered widespread discussion both on social media and within the film industry, especially because the actor had recently appeared in a high-profile film. The case has once again brought focus on issues of consent, misuse of trust, and accountability in the entertainment industry.
Police have stated that all allegations are being thoroughly examined and strict action will be taken as per the law based on the outcome of the investigation.
