Kotak Mahindra Bank has reported steady growth in its provisional fourth-quarter business update. The private sector lender posted healthy expansion in both lending and deposit mobilisation.
According to the update, the bank’s net advances grew around 16% year-on-year to approximately ₹4.80 lakh crore. On a sequential basis, advances also showed a moderate increase, reflecting sustained credit demand during the quarter.
Strong Deposit Growth
Total deposits rose nearly 15% year-on-year to around ₹5.43 lakh crore. Growth was supported by healthy mobilisation in retail deposits and current-account savings accounts (CASA). The bank maintained a strong focus on low-cost deposits, which helped keep funding costs stable.
Lending Focus
Kotak Mahindra Bank witnessed good demand in retail segments such as mortgage loans, SME financing, and tractor finance. The bank remained selective in unsecured retail lending while prioritising asset quality and sustainable growth.
The consistent rise in advances and deposits indicates resilient credit demand and stable liquidity conditions in the banking sector. This performance positions Kotak Mahindra Bank well ahead of the upcoming earnings season.
